OEM Manufacturer Methyl Ethyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose - Carboxymethyl cellulose CMC-Ceramic grade – Yeyuan Detail:

Ceramic CMC model: C1074 C1274 C1083 C1583
Sodium carboxymethylcellulose CMC in the ceramic industry as billet excipient, plasticizer, strengthening agent. Used in ceramic tile bottom glaze and surface glaze, can make the glaze body in a stable state of dispersion. It is mainly used for thickening, bonding and dispersing properties of printing glaze.

CMC-Application In Ceramics

Function of CMC in ceramic tile bottom glaze and surface glaze:
-Keep the glaze in a stable dispersion state;
-Improve the surface tension of glaze;
-Slow down the diffusion of water from glaze to billet;
-Increase the smoothness of glaze;
-Avoid cracking and printing fracture during transportation due to the decrease of green body strength after glazing;
-Reduce glaze pinholes after sintering.
Application of CMC in ceramic tile bottom glaze and surface glaze:
CMC is an excellent stabilizer and binder. When used in the bottom glaze, it can increase the bonding force between the glaze slurry and the green body, make the glaze body in a very stable dispersion state, improve the surface tension of the glaze, prevent the diffusion of water from the glaze to the green body, and increase the smoothness of the glaze surface; CMC is an excellent suspending agent, stabilizer and binder. When used in the glaze, it can improve the surface tension of the glaze, make the glaze body in a very stable dispersion state, prevent the diffusion of water from the glaze to the body, avoid the decline of the strength of the body with thick glaze, resulting in cracking and printing fracture during transportation, and reduce the pinhole phenomenon of the glaze after baking.
Functions of CMC in ceramic body:
-It can increase the bonding force of the blank and the blank is easy to form;
-Improve the bending strength of the green body and effectively reduce the damage rate of the green body;
-Make the water in the blank evaporate evenly to prevent drying and cracking.
Application of CMC in ceramic body:
CMC is used as excipient, plasticizer and reinforcing agent in ceramic body. Adding an appropriate amount of CMC into the body can increase the bonding force of the body, make the body easy to form, improve the flexural strength by 2-3 times, improve the stability of the body, improve the excellent product rate of ceramics and reduce the later processing cost. Due to the addition of CMC, the moisture in the green body material is uniform and constant to prevent drying and cracking. Especially when applied to large-size floor tiles and polished brick bodies, the effect is more obvious.
Application of CMC in printing glaze:
CMC is an excellent stabilizer with strong suspension and dispersion ability, less insoluble matter, high transparency, and excellent acid and alkali resistance and salt resistance. It ensures fast dissolution in the printing glaze, effectively reduces the times of cleaning the printing screen, reduces the generation of color difference, and ensures the stability of the printing glaze and infiltrated glaze during storage.
