CMC is an excellent stabilizer and binder. When used in the bottom glaze, it can increase the bonding force between the glaze slurry and the green body, make the glaze body in a very stable dispersion state, improve the surface tension of the glaze, prevent the diffusion of water from the glaze to the green body, and increase the smoothness of the glaze surface; CMC is an excellent suspending agent, stabilizer and binder.
